While we all love a sweet treat like Halloween candy now and then, the amount of candy most kids get for Halloween is unhealthy and can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and other dental issues not to mention the impact eating all that candy will do to your body! Instead, Dr. Shah and our team at Macon Smiles have decided to participate in the Halloween Candy Buy Back. This program will start Thursday, November 1st and will continue the next week from November 5th through until the 8th. We will be giving each trick-or-treater $1 for every pound of candy they bring in. The candy that we receive will be donated to Operation Gratitude who works with volunteers to create and send care packages to troops serving overseas. With the help of Operation Gratitude and our patients, we can help prevent cavities in Macon and give our troops a much-deserved taste of home.
