At Macon Smiles, we have a treatment for just about everything. If you are experiencing any sort of minor dental issue, major problem, or want a cosmetic upgrade, we’ve got the treatment for you. Our experienced dentist and staff will address each individual patient’s needs and discuss all of the possible treatments. We specialize in laser dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, to give you the straight, beautiful smile you’ve always dreamed of! Follow any of the links below for more in-depth descriptions of each treatment!

General

General dentistry treatment is used to achieve three primary goals, including preserving your natural teeth, maintaining optimum oral health, and keeping your smile at it’s best. This covers everything from the most basic dental cleaning with x-rays to more extensive procedures like fillings or crowns, bridges, and everything in between. Through general treatment, we believe that every patient should be a regular at the dentist, to check on your teeth and confirm everything is as it should be.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Your smile should be functional, but it should also be something you are proud of and confident to show off. Dr. Shah and our staff are very experienced in cosmetic dentistry to give all of our patients the brightest and straightest smile. Typical procedures include teeth whitening and veneers. Together, we can provide you with the smile you’ve always imagined!

Zoom! Teeth Whitening

We want you to have a smile that you are proud and confident of. For most people, that means a brilliantly, white smile, and Macon Smiles is here to give you just that. With Zoom! Teeth whitening we provide our patients with amazingly white smiles in only 45 minutes! This procedure is entirely different than whitening products purchased in the drug store because it penetrates the tooth enamel, reaching deep stains, and removing all discoloration. Let us help you achieve the white smile you’ve always wanted!

Dental Veneers

As always, we believe your smile should be something that you want to show off. If you have small gaps between your teeth, minor tooth alignment issues, misshapen teeth, or small cracks, you are the perfect patient for dental veneers. With dental veneers, Macon Smiles can correct these minor issues and at the same time, dramatically improve your smile!

Laser

Advances in dental technology have allowed Macon Smiles to use laser dentistry in more procedures. This narrow beam of light energy can be used to painlessly remove tooth decay, remove diseased soft tissues, uncover partially erupted wisdom teeth, and obtain small biopsy samples when necessary. Laser dentistry allows for less invasive procedures and eliminates the need for cutting, sewing, and bleeding in the mouth.

TMJ & Headache Therapy

Suffering from TMJ, headaches, and migraines can be difficult and quite painful. At Macon Smiles, we offer state of the art technology to assess, diagnose, and treat the problem causing you pain and discomfort. Through our extensive and thorough treatment and therapy, we will decrease and eliminate your pain.

Snoring Therapy

Snoring is usually known as a harmless sleeping habit, but it may be having a more significant impact on your life. Sleep apnea, or snoring, is a condition where your airways collapse, shrink, or are blocked, preventing you from getting enough air while you breathe in your sleep. At Macon Smiles, we offer snoring therapy to our patients so they can enjoy a restful night’s sleep that they deserve.

Periodontics

Woman Getting Her Teeth CleanedPeriodontics is the treatment of the structures around the teeth, like your gums. It is commonly practiced by your dentist to prevent infection of the teeth, gums, and bones in your mouth. Periodontal disease can be caused by the sticky buildup of plaque on your teeth where bacteria can thrive. Aggressive periodontitis can cause rapid bone and tooth loss, while chronic periodontitis is slower moving, causing pockets, and the recession of the gums. At Macon Smiles, we want to avoid periodontics or, if necessary, catch it as its earliest stages!

Brushing & Flossing

Brushing and flossing are essential to good, oral health. You should brush your teeth at least two times a day to prevent cavities and keep your gums healthy. Brushing your teeth helps eliminate bad breath, gingivitis, and plaque. After brushing, flossing is imperative. We recommend flossing once per day. Flossing allows you to get in between each tooth and all the way up to the gum line. This will ensure that all food particles, bacteria, and plaque are eliminated from your teeth. Healthy smiles start with brushing and flossing!

Prevention

Little Girl Flossing Her TeethAt Macon Smiles, we want to prevent tooth decay at all cost. Tooth decay is one of the most common diseases in dental health. If left untreated, it can lead to pain, tooth loss, and serious illness. To avoid and prevent tooth decay, Dr. Shah recommends brushing your teeth two times a day, flossing once a day, eating a healthy diet, and attending regular checkups and cleanings with Macon Smiles. Together, we will prevent tooth decay!

Early Dental Treatment

Visiting the dentist is a lifelong process, and it begins with early dental treatment. At Macon Smiles, we believe early dental treatment will set your child up for a lifetime of excellent oral health.  All teeth are important, including baby teeth, and it’s essential to teach good oral health practices from a young age.

Dentures

Dentures are the perfect option to replace a missing tooth, several teeth, or all of your teeth. They will give you the confidence of a full smile. At Macon Smiles, we can provide full or partial dentures depending on your needs. Dentures are a pain-free option, which are also completely removable. When necessary, you can take your dentures out. They are also an incredibly low maintenance cosmetic dentistry option!
